Birmingham Tornados 2011 Lesson – Make Sure You Create a Video for Home Inventory

Collier Swecker video blogs his thoughts on the rash of devastating Tornados that hit the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa areas in April 2011. Collier has had the opportunity to speak with some of the many victims of the tornados and also some insurance professionals  who have all shared their wish that the victims had created better inventories of all of the possessions that they had in their homes. We just never know when we will be the victim of violent storms, so we must prepare now. 1. Thanks for the post on home inventories, Collier. I’m always amazed at how few people have a properly documented home inventory of their home. Being able to recall what was lost or destroyed is absolutely key when filing a claim. I run a service, Steadfast Home Inventory for residents of New England. If anyone is interested in more information on home inventories, I run a blog on home inventories and their benefits. http://www.SteadfastHomeInventory.com. I know qualified Home Inventory professionals all over the country who I’d be happy to refer anyone to Thanks!
