Home Sellers Don’t Forget the Front Door

Collier Swecker video blogs that home sellers too often forget to make sure that the front door and the area around the front door should be in pristine condition when putting their home on the market for sale. No matter what a home seller fixes or updates on the inside it is irrelevant if home buyers don’t like what they see on the outside. In the listing photographs and “in-person” one of the first areas that home buyers really focus their attention is the front door and the area around it. A quick coat of paint could produce a thousand dollars more and / or produce a buyer even faster. Too often we are seeing home sellers doing all of the right updates on the inside of the home but they have a sun faded front door with nasty door hardware from 1988 and the lights on each side of the door look so bad that they probably were installed in 1975. Remember too, that the front door handle may be the first thing a potential buyer touches when visiting your home.  If you have any questions or comments email me at Collier@MegaAgents.com or my website at www.MegaAgents.com.
